Sustentabilidade: e eu com isso?

Dez estudantes tiveram suas ideias selecionadas em concurso nacional para desenvolver cartazes em um workshop ministrado por Rico Lins, Marcos Minini e Daniel Trench durante o N Design de 2010. Juntamente com outros 20 cartazes criados por profissionais convidados, a mostra “Sustentabilidade: e eu com isso?” fazia parte da Bienal Brasileira de Design 2010 e buscava questionar o grande público sobre o tema. A exibição foi realizada ao ar livre no Jardim Botânico e Parque Barigui em Curitiba e posteriormente na rede de bibliotecas-parque da Secretaria de Estado de Cultura do Rio de Janeiro durante a Rio +20.

Em minha proposta, sustentabilidade é o que mantém em pé o castelo de cartas no qual o ser humano está no topo. A imagem sugere a fragilidade de um sistema que depende simultaneamente do desenvolvimento social, industrial e ecológico e tem o tempo como elemento agravante.

sustainability: what do I care?

Ten students had their ideas selected in a national contest to create posters in a workshop ministered by Rico Lins, Marcos Minini and Daniel Trench during N Design 2010 (the design students national meeting). Together with other 20 posters created by invited professionals, the exhibition “Sustainability: what do I care?” was part of the Brazilian Design Biennial 2010 and questioned the general public about the theme. The exhibition was held outdoors in the Botanical Garden and Park Barigui in Curitiba and then in the circuit of public libraries of the Secretary of Culture of Rio de Janeiro during the Rio +20.

In my proposal, sustainability is what keeps standing the house of cards in which the human being is at the top. The image suggests the fragility of a system that depends both on the social, industrial and ecological development and has time as an aggravating factor.
